Crashing headache, help needed.

I keep getting chucked off the PC, and when I eventually get back on I have the above error message. Does anybody know what it means and how to stop my PC behaving badly? More often than not I am having to resart in Safe Mode and use a restore point.

I have tried checking through Microsoft using the eventvwr.msc function but have had no joy. I always end up at a screen which helpfully informs me to take no action!

I am using Windows XP home.

Have you loaded new software of late or do you get a crash when loading from the DVD rom drive.

How do I access the bios?

The only thing recently installed was my external Broadband Modem. Have already unistalled and reinstalled it to no avail. Crashing happens periodically. Either a dozen or more times in one day, like today or no problems for a week before troubles resarts.

Finally nailed this one down to memory failure, not mine, the PC's!! 2 weeks downtime to eventually discover that one!! :(
