Computer freezes, often when typing an email or when computer goes into screen saver mode.

Windows XP

Have followed the sequences from the service log, and the most frequently logged as 'Error' under the Service Control Manager is 7000, User N/A. This happens every time the PC freezes.

Others, just before shutting down are Event 7011; and there's been one logged as Print Error, Event 19.

There are also Warning messages ref W32 Time, code 36.

try this

Right click the clock and select adjust date/time.
Select Internet Time tab.

Copy time-a.nist.gov (it may appear in dropdown menu) and paste it in.

Click Update Now

After it updates, OK out.

ccleaner is a useful cleaner so you can give it a shot, back up when prompted when cleaning the registry.

Is Mcafee antivirus a likely cause?
