CPU running at 100%

I know similar to this has been on before but on XP and I'm running Vista Beta 2. Looked in task manager and there are 7 or 8 versions of svchost.exe one of which is running at 94-98%. Tried to stop it or delete it but no joy. Anyone out there know how to get rid please.
Thanks in anticipation

Have you checked for viruses and spyware/malware.

Use these and run your Av.click here

Vista is Beta software so the code has not been optimised yet, lots of debug code is running in the background hogging resources.

Once RC1 is released we should see improvements to the overall stability and resources in Vista.

Thanks. I did a bit of shuffling around and came to the conclusion it was Office 2007 beta.
I had probs with 2003 when I first used it it was taking over all sorts of things and running in the background.
Anyway thanks
