Hi novice calling ,I get the message’CPU fan not connected’ when I try to start up ,although the fan is flying round.I have read in the manual that it is a safety feature that can be enabled or disabled in the Bios which I cannot get to.I have had the heatsink and fan out and re-set using thermal grease. Please can anyone help.

Have you connected the CPU fan to the System header instead ?

Surely if the feature was disabled in the bios it would not warn you and if it is enabled and it is warning you ..read my above post

A friend has solved my problem of not being able to get passed the message CPU FAN NOT CONNECTED by removing the CMOS battery, silver disc at bottom of main board, and putting it back.It then started as normal
