Hi folks, windows vista's cpu has been runninmg at 100% for about an hour with windows explorer taking up to 51% and svchost.exe taking up the rest.Any idea what can be causing this?Theres no other programs running.Thanks.
First thing to check is Taskmanager:Right click the Taskbar and choose from there.See what's running (could be a defrag in the background)Then if no joy there:Start > run > msconfig >statupTo see whats running there.Post back.
Thanks.I tried task manager that's how I found out what was using up the cpu.I rebooted the computer and it's back to normal.Strange.
