XP pro, Norton AV
My computer keeps crashing or I get a frozen screen( I do not have sasser) when I reboot I am informed that I have a corrupted file. when I go for information it says;
C\doc1\tomste\locals\temp\wer\timp dir001 systemsdata xml
Is this the reason it keeps crashing?
Can I remove these files?

minidump and systemdata errors together, normally signify system overheating.

Have you got a decent heatsink and fan for the cpu?.

Is the system in general inside the case, in general ram and H/D, running cool?.

Can you post your specs?.

hi, If I have corrupted files I boot the machine and then insert the Xp disc and do a repair. Cheers, Bill

If you are WinXP and have a full XP disc NOT A RESTORE DISC go to start\run and type

SFC \SCANNOW press OK with the Win XP in the computer it should restore any corrupt files
