corrupt laptop.

Switched on acer netbook and on screen message that windows not working. Given several alternatives but none work. Another message says system32\drivers\ntfs sys corrupt. Advises original cd-rom to be inserted. The laptop does not take cd-roms! can anyone help

Netbooks normally have system recovery on seperate partition which is normally accessed by pressing one of the F keys during boot up, try F8 then look at the bottom of the list under all the safe modes etc.

Have tried F8,does not do anything that is different.
It is an Acer Aspire one

just does not load correctly and flips up an error screen.

Just "Re-Booting" will sometimes cure the problem.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have used the Acer recovery program and have gone back to square one!
