A new machine has been aquired [A super MESH bundle] The proud owner then arranged to have all her valuable data transferred from old to new. She has come to me now with a wail that some documents appear to have transferred in a corrupt form. I asked her to send me a sample, and it appear to have come up with the familiar lines of sqaures, heiroglphs and line breaks. The Win Office 2000 conversion panel lists it as Turkish, but no other format will change it any way. The odd phrase creeps in one such being 'low battery alarm' among all the other line of square etc., I then thought of trying to read it n 'Acrobat' this came up with that it was probably an incorrectly encoded mail attachment. So the puzzle here is is it referring to the attchment as sent to me or the original?
