Core 2

Hello, i'm just wondering if an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor would work with my bios?

Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG, 30/12/2006

It says on my motherboard manual that the following can be used:

Pentium 4
Pentium D
Celeron D
Pentium/Celeron Dual Core
Intel Core 2 Duo
Intel Core 2 Quad

I know the new processor will fit my motherboard, i'm just wondering if it would be recognised?

Thanks in return.

Judging by your posting;

" i'm just wondering if an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor would work with my bios "
And your manual says ,yes to core2,then yes it will be ok...however without knowing the motherboard make and model,its hard to 100% confirm this.

Your board may/maynot need a bios update depending on the bios revision,but i reckon you will be fine.

I have a Foxconn P4M9007MB-8RS2H Socket-T (LGA775) motherboard.

That looks fine SirMetal...i cannot see any problems with a core2 cpu and your motherboard.
