Copying OE Address Book from PC to Laptop

I want to copy my existing OE Address Book from my PC to my laptop.

Can I simply copy the WAB file from the PC and copy it into the same location on the laptop or is it a bit more complicated than that?

Open the address book

choose file, export

save to a floppy disk / usb media etc

Then on other PC open address book and choose file, import.

IF you have copied via a cd, you will have to copy from CD to the hard disk and remove the "read only" attribute from the properties.

Thanks for your quick response.

I intend to copy/move it using a USB pen drive.

If I export it to the pen drive will it simply make a copy on the pen drive and leave the original Address Book intact on the PC (which is what I want)?

I DON'T want to MOVE it from the PC to the pen drive!

It is as simple as Diodorus Siculus said.

But it depends of your computers if all the attributes.
If they both have floppies then to floppy on PC And from the floppy. to Lappie

Ditto if you have CD burner on PC.

If both machines are internet capable
Try sending it to yourself as an attachment.
Send from PC
Recieve into Lappie.
Or if you have one - A USB Flash Drive

you want be "moving it" you will only be making a copy

Looks like I was a bit premature in green ticking this thread!

In OE I opened the Address Book and clicked on File; Export; chose my USB pen drive as the destination and clicked Save.

I waited and waited and waited and precisely nothing happened.

Where did I go wrong?

When choosing the destination, choose the desktop and when it is there, copy to the USB drive.
