Copying DVD files

I recently copied a DVD on to my hard drive using 'Nero Showtime Essential'. However, when I tried to burn the files onto a DVD disc (again using Nero) all I received was a blank disc even though it was successfully burnt.

Also when I copied the DVD to my hard drive there wasn't just one single file but 3 files titled 'VIDEO_TS and many others titled VTS_01_0, VTS_01_1, VTS_02_0 up to VTS_09_1. However, when viewed they all play back the same file!

This is the first time I have copied a DVD and tried to burn onto another DVD - please help!

Just use Nero and select "Copy DVD" and follow the prompts.
