Hi guys
My original hard drive is acting up and at long last have managed to install/format and partition a new 40 gb drive.
I would like to copy every thing of over to the new drive and make it the new boot up drive
Any quick suggestions

Alan

You will have to install your OS.
And then copy any saved files/documents etc, to a location of your choise.

What operating system are you using?

Do you have any imaging software, such as Drive Image for example?

I use W98se and have copied my OS partition to the beginning of the Slave HD and the hidden it,all using partition magic. I can then just pull the power plug on the masterHD and then unhide the OS partition and it boots normally.
If I then made it Master and the other Slave the change would be complete.

I renew the copy at intervals and know that in the event of the Master HD failing I have a ready made replacement.

Norton ghost, will copy 1 hard drive to another including the boot sector/operating system and all files.
