I have just run this tool and it has come up with 'C\WINDOWS\smcfg.exe' as something which ought to be checked. I have no idea what this file is, or if it should be removed. Please help!

I think it's part of the modem files you will have to look in driver props for the modem

You will find smcfg.exe listed in the files list from the second link--It appears to be a modem driver.

Try running Adaware and Spybot S&D to see if they find anything--but I thing you would be better leaving this file alone---Unless someone on the forum can throw more light on the subject.
