Hi all

If anyone can offer any help with this, it would make life allot easier.

I've just recently bought pinnacle studio plus V9, This works well at the moment with no problems found. But I have some video files which i've taken off my digital Photo camera which my wife would like to add to pinnacle. At the moment they are saved as (MOV) files by quicktime.

Is there a free peice of software which will let me convert the files without spending a fortune
on an all singing all dancing peice of kit which i will only use a few times.

As I said, any help, even a nudge in the right direction.

many thanks

stu

click here Windows Media Encoder 9, does much more than you want, but the file converter is excellent and it's free.

I've got the same problem as stu23, to convert .MOV files to .AVI. I've downloaded Windows Media Encoder and it converts to .WMV OK but I can't find how to produce .AVI files. The Windows FAQ site only seems to deal with converting from AVI to WMV and from MOV to WMV.
My slide show program will only handle AVI files.
Can anyone help, please ?

Many thanks, lotvic. I'm using RAD Video Tools (MOV to AVI) and it is amazingly fast compared with Windows Media Encoder (MOV to WMV). Problem solved. Cheers.
