Can anyone please advise me if it's possible to convert a PDF into an editable document (ie; Word) using Adobe Acrobat 5.0 ?

no you cannot do that as pdfs where created to protect copyright material(correct me if I am wrong). It can be done with pay for software but I dont know of any free software that will do it.

thanks for that - worth a thought. However, in that thread it was mentioned that the full version of Acrobat allows editing. I have Acrobat 5.0 so can I do it there, if so, do you/anyone know how?

for example Scansoft PDF Converter click here

there is another better way, contact authors.

If a pdf file is protected, nothing you can do. But you can alway print out, and scan it and use a OCR program to convert.

There us always a way for anything.
