I have a copy of a photograph in RTF format that I would like to convert to JPG file format, so I can open it in Elements 5 and make some adjustments to contrast etc. Do any of you know how this can be done?

Have a look at Irfanview click here

do you mean you have an .rtf document that contains a photograph?

If so, open the document in your word processor, click on the photo to select it, and paste it into any graphics programme, (eg, Paint), and save it from there.

You may find it's already a jpg.

Apologies if I'm way off base and it is reaally a rtf picture!

Simsy

If it is just text, probably easier to use a scanner at 300dpi and save the file as .jpg.

Thank you for that. It worked a treat.
