Control Panel Extensions - Command Line

  Pesala 23:24 09 Sep 2004

I know that I can make a desktop shortcut to any of the control panel items, but I want a command line that I can use in another program.

If I enter "intl.cpl" in the run command, for example, I get the Regional Settings dialogue box. If I enter "desk.cpl" it brings up the Display properties.

However, I cannot figure out how to bring up the keyboard/language dialogue in the same way. That's the one you get from Control Panel, Keyboard.

Do a search for *.cpl (make sure your search includes hidden and system files) Not sure which one you want, but a bit of trial and error should discover the right one.

I looked at all the *.cpl files I could find, but none do the business. A Google search didn't reveal much either. The keyboard seems to be under main.cpl as it was in Windows 3.1, if I remember rightly, but that just brings up the mouse control panel.
