Contents of old HDD

  Bod_MK 13:07 18 May 2007

I've built a new PC, which is running well using a new SATA HDD.
I have two old EIDE HHD's from old PC's.
I've installed both of them oin my new PC as secondary drives.
The problem I have is that they're only recognised as 30Gb drives when I know they're 120Gb.
I'd really like to get some of my old files from them, but I can't access, or even see, the parts of the drives that were used.
Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Do these drives have the 32G clip jumper set on them?

If so remove jumper(s) and retry.

Buy a couple of cheap Enclosures and set them up as External Drives

Forget enclosures. I use this: click here

Third one down. Accepts anything IDE and even has an adapter for a 2.5" laptop drive.
