Content Advisor in IE

  Newuser151 16:44 31 Jan 2006

Every time I start Internet Explorer I get a message to check my Content Advisor for missing information. Sure enough all the slider bars are at zero and all access to sites are blocked.

I have followed the routine of deleting the .pol file from the system file, and ensuring that the icra.rat file is present.

This provides access only until I log off, then on trying to launch IE again, I have to go through the whole rigmarole again.

I have not recently added any new programs and have McAfee online running.

Anyone know of a fix?

Turn off Content Advisor

On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options.

Click the Content tab, and click the Disable button.

In the Password box, type your supervisor password, and click OK.
All users will once again have free access to all sites.

Thanks for the info, alas, it didn't work. Just caused an error in MSRATING.DLL, which closed down the program. Tried to enable tab in content but can't do that either. Does this mean a reformatting is on the horizon?
