Why does my pc ask to check F:\ for consistency each and every time i boot it up?. F:\ drive is a partition with only digital photo's on it, and it never finds a problem with it.I am running windows xp. Many thanks Kevin.

I've just tried this. Go to the below key first and post back what it says on the right of 'bootexecute'

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Back up the reg first and change autocheck autochk* to

autocheck autochk /k:F *

Thanks for your help.But I am not to happy to change the reg,so I have left it as it is for now.
