Connecting to Wireless with Vista

Hi, I've had Sky Mid Broadband for a few months now and was previously using it on my laptop wirelessly on Windows XP. Unfortunately my laptop broke yesterday so I went out and bought a desktop computer, this is similar to the one i bought - click here
Since I set this up last night I have not been able to get the wireless router to work, It connects to the internet whilst the pc and the router are connected by the Ethernet cable but I need this to be able to work wirelessly.
I've gone onto Manage Wireless Networks in the Control Panel, but it says
"Wireless is not currently enabled", and I'm not sure how I am supposed to enable it. I've never used Windows Vista before and this is driving me mad as I cant work it out.
Any help will be really appreciated.

Daft question, has your desktop got a wireless card installed?

Check in device manager (Start, Run devmgmt.msc) and look for network adapters.

What do you have underneath that when you click the plus sign next to the green icon?

I gather you are trying to connect your PC to your router wireless.........If you you need to get a wireless adapter for your PC, might be a good idea to get same brand as router
