Hi
I have a laptop in my living room and a desktop pc in my basement. I bought a netgear N usb wireless adaptor but the pc in my basement still won't receive any signal. My basement isn't located directly under the house but to the side of the house. Could this be the problem?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Liam

It could be, if you can test the wireless adaptor in the same room as the router then you can see if that is the problem.

If you still don't connect then you have a setting problem.

Hope this helps.

If you are unable to get a signal in the basement look at the following option if you must have wireless

NETGEAR Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender Kit

Or you can use Linksys by Cisco PowerLine Turbo Ethernet Adapter Kit, which will give you a hard wire connection
