connecting to virgin cable broadband wirelessly

  cjl1966 15:05 26 Nov 2007

I'm a total novice, who is getting broadband at home for the first time.
I have signed up for virgin cable broadband (modem in the post apparently)and just bought a
Belkin G cable router. I want to be wireless from the off.
Reading the router instructions last night it seems I have to initially connect the router to the modem to the desk top PC physically using cables. Is this right? or can I set the whole thing up wirelessly. I'm trying to avoid lugging the PC from one side of the house to the other.
