Connecting notebook to Internet for 1 week

I will be visitng the UK for 1 week in October (I normally live in France). Does anyone know of a PC card-type device that I could slot into my notebook and that would let me surf the Internet for 1 week (via a dial-up connection). I wouldn't mind if I had to do a 1-month contract, but really I just want to use the Internet for 1 week. Thanks

Lots of public libraries provide free Internet surfing - on their own computers.

Thanks Weskit, that's good advice but I really am after surfing in the comfort of my own home.

I found a lot of companies have Data Cards,

for example O2's one here:

But they all seem to demand you make a minimum of a 1-year contract, I only want a 1-month contract (blubbers).
