Hi all,
Mates, friends, pals. grovelling here again. lol>

My better half has just purchased a Gateway Solo 9100 laptop. Am getting the gist that it needs a PC Card modem inserted into the PCMCIA slot. Thing that's puzzling me, is, how do you decice which cables are required for linking it up to the phone socket.

Any replies, will of course be gratefully appreciated.

Terry

when you purchase the modem it will (or at least should) come with a 'dongle' which has a jack to connect into the little flat socket in the card, at the other end is a socket for the usual modem cable that you would use with a pc. the chances are you will get one with the modem.
