Connecting to Internet with Firefox

  ened 13:28 05 Nov 2005

I have installed Firefox to try it out so don't want it to be my default browser yet.

Is there a way to connect to the internet from offline in this way.

I keep getting an error message (613)

"connect to the internet from offline in this way."

You can't connect to the internet AND be ofline.

Firefox doesn't have to be your default browser in order to use it. Just use it.

You misunderstand me.

When I am offline and open IE I automatically get the connection box.

When I open FF I get an error message.

I could open IE to get on line and then switch, but I thought the purpose of FF was that it was meant to be more secure than IE. It won't be if IE is open as well.

in Firefox go to Tools/options/general and make sure there's a tick in the default broser setting

firefox does not have to be the default browser, also check your firewall settings to allow firefox to connect.
