For some time I have had a peer-to-peer connection between my PC and laptop. I have recently gone onto broadband via a USB modem on the PC. I would like to be able to access the Internet from the laptop. I have run "Internet Connection Wizard" on both computers. I do not know what to run on the laptop to access the Internet now. This may be a stupid question but can anyone help, please?

Just double click on internet explorer on the laptop.

On desktop
Settings -network settings - local area connection advance tab - Both boxes under internet connectio sharing should be ticked.

When I did this I received the following message -
Internet connection cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing.
What should I do now?

I have managed to work this out and can now connect OK.

In my Network Connections there was a "Locl Area Connection" that was enabled. I disabled this, reran the Internet Connection Wizard and then did what Fruit Bat suggested. Eureka!!
