Connecting to Belkin Network USB Hub thru Internet

I have a Belkin USB network hub connected to my home network. Connected to that are four USB external HDDs. When sitting at home I can access the Belkin hub using my home network. This is a fantastic system that I recommend to anyone.

As I'm a contractor I now need to access my HDDs from anywhere on the globe. The complication is that I wish to use the belkin as if I was connected to my home network. Many options talk about remote accessing home computers and using the resources connected to them. I don't want this as I have a large power-hungry pc I don't want to keep switched on, and a very old laptop I thought I could permenantly switch on and use to aceess my home network through. So what I'm asking is - How can I access the HDDs on the hub through the internet?

Look at LogMeIn for remote access. You will need to leave the laptop on but you will be able to access your drives via a web browser using an e-mail address and password
