Connecting 2 PCs and a laptop

  Base Delta Zero 20:59 26 May 2005

I currently have two desktop pcs networked by wire. The one downstairs is connected to the interent, and the one upstairs then shares the connection.

I now have a laptop, which i would like to connect wirelessly. Would it be possible to have a seperate network running between the pc upstairs and the laptop? Would the laptop get the internet? Basically i want to beable to connect the laptop to the internet, without buying a whole new network system with routers etc. I can't easily put a wireless card in the pc downstairs, as all its usb ports are ussed up, and it has no free pci slots.

get a usb wireless adaptor (around £15 from ebuyer click here), plug into upstair PC. no great loss (£15) if it does not work

the best way is to pend slightly more to get yourself a wireless modem router and save all trouble
