Configuring the 'My Documents' folders

How do I configure the My Documents Folder?

I have always ignored this in the past and saved all my documents in different folders on a second hard drive.

After a recent HD replacement I still have two hard disks, but they have been partitioned into C\ (for programs), D:\ (for backups) and G:\ (for data). I have different folders on the G drive to which all my old documents have been transferred. How do I reconfigure the My Documents folder on my desktop to send my work to the G:\ drive. Do I change the properties box to G:\ or does it have to have a folder.

Any help much appreciated.

Make sure no files in My Documents are open before you do this.

You can then just drag and drop your other folders into My Documents.

Many thanks for this. For some reason the link to JSI didn't work, but ETH's did. All sorted now - easy when you know how!
