Conduit powered by google

have been using the internet on and of all day using search without any problem.

Have just been on the net again and when trying to do a search up pops "Conduit" (never seen it before), but will not carry out the search.

It's only on Firefox that the problem occurs IE is ok.

Any suggestions how to overcome this problem.

Have switched to Yahoo.co.uk search engine for the moment which works ok, but would like to know what has happened with Google

Run you anti-malware programs. Malwarebytes is very good - and Spybot S & D a favourite of mine.

If is happening only on Firefox then it could be something in your profile for Firefox. Back-up any Bookmarks you want to keep in Firefox and delete the profile folder, when you restart Firefox it will create a new Profile folder, then import your Bookmarks again and install any extensions you had originally installed. This site gives the locations of where to find the Profile folder click here

Thanks guys have run spybot which did not show any problems, but Google search is now working as normal
