It should be ok with the majority of modern games at medium settings........The Pentium "M" chips perform well in games,1GB of RAM is good ,The 5400rpm hard drive might cause some slowdown on level loading(I note there is a 7200rpm option which would be better) and the 9700 graphics are reasonably powerful.
Some modern games like F.E.A.R. will push that graphics card to the limit at low settings.
If you can live with using lowish game settings then it will be fine......but As ACOLYTE has already suggested,gaming is one area where laptops will not compete with any half decent desktop pc.
If its gaming your into then have to say that in general laptops are not the way to go, they are just not up to it graphics wise and are next to impossible to upgrade. Unless you're will to spend a huge amount of money.
