computer freezing

  .:?:. 19:23 26 Dec 2006

since I have re-installed windows, my computer keeps freezing while playing games.

I have tried different drivers, different graphics card, re-installing games/direct x etc. yet it still freezes.

I have also cleaned out all the fans so I don't think it could be heating up, plus I have run sfc /scannow and found nothing wrong.

System Specs;

Intel D865 PERL mobo

P4 3.0ghz

1gb ram

ATI 9600 AGP

250 gb hdd

350w PSU

Before I re-installed windows all the games I played ran easily!

Is there anything else someone can suggest?

Are you using XP?
Did you do a full clean install of the operating system?

Uninstall your gpu drivers again but download these drivers to desktop first. click here .
Will be in a zip form.

Uninstall original drivers and follow the instructions to reboot.
Run a reg cleaner and again reboot.
Unzip new drivers and install.
