Computer freeze problem

I have an ASUS X5DIJ and am running windows 7. Whenever I am watching a video on Youtube, for example, a lot of the time the screen will freeze for about 4 minutes accompanied by a horrible buzzing noise. If a documentary is say, 1hr and 10 mins long, this will happen about 4 to 6 times during viewing. It's really beginning to marsh my mellow and I'm hoping that this may be an easy fix. Any suggestions, folks??
