hi iv just got a new motheboard and pc case the case has 5 fans but the motherboard has 2 fan sockets is ther a way to cnonnect the other 3 without the motherboard

you can just buy a adapter that fits onto the power supply connector
i have an adapter that has to 2 normall femail connectors, 1 male connector, & 1 fan connector.
i had a similar problem with oo many fans not enough outlets, got it fom Maplins i think.
or just go into any computer repair shop an ask them to make you one up.

5 fans from the mobo may just draw more power than it can handle. Get three molex to fan connectors and run three of them straight from the PSU.

same as for example a tv arial socket extension. IE one can be shethed/inserted inside its opposite

I dont mean to be rude, or doubt your abilities tommy900, but if you dont know the difference between a male & femail conector, should you be messing about with fitting new motherboards etc????
