points to a problem with the graphics drivers

youneed to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card.

Thank you Fruit Bat will try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for my graphics card.

Is it possible that the temperature which when tested on Everest when it crashed was
Temperatures:
Motherboard 40 °C (104 °F)
CPU 63 °C (145 °F)
Seagate ST3200822A 41 °C (106 °F)

Cooling Fans:
CPU 3245 RPM
Where as previously it had been
Temperatures:
Motherboard 34 °C (93 °F)
CPU 54 °C (129 °F)
Seagate ST3200822A 35 °C (95 °F)

Cooling Fans:
CPU 3184 RPM

Could this have anything to do with my problem with crashing?

Start - settings - control panel - system - hardware tab - device manager - display adaptors.

Right click your graphics card - select properties - driver tab - uninstall.

run the CD and follow the prompts to install the drivers.

'A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER'

'IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE SEEN THIS STOP SCREEN ERROR..............................'

Switch the computer off and then check that all internal cables and cards etc are firmly seated. Take them out one at a time and reseat them. Do the RAM modules too.
Do the same with external cables
They tend to work loose after a while because of the hotting up and cooling down expansion during use and then switching off.

er.. that should read ' hotting up and cooling down expansion and contraction'
