This is a fairly common error mode, usually associated with graphics drivers.
Are you running any particular program/game when the crash happens?
What graphics card are you using?
Have you recently installed any software?
Have you recently updated any drivers?

usually trying to play tiger woods pga tour 07

graphics card is ATI RV200 64Mb

Recently completed a total os installation and all additional software. Now running xp home sp2.

Also had a problem with SiS 7012 but downloading new drivers sorted the sound problem.

If you could help it would be much appreciated.

I can't give any advice based on experience, but if we can keep this thread near the top. hopefully someone will join it who does know the answer.

Have you installed the latest driver for your ATI card?
