compressing outlook files?

hello all,i keep getting a message when i close outlook express.it says that it can compress files to free up more disk space.i guess it came with sp2,i dont exactly need the space,what i want to know is it worth it?any horror stories about it?i only recieve about 20 e-mails a week but i dont want to lose them if it go,s wrong.

Nothing will go wrong with your relatively low volume of emails if you do not compress Outlook Express files. However, if you do compress the files, OE ought to run more efficiently.
