Compatible ink message problem

I recently bought a Epson DX3800 all in one printer/scanner and just had to change one of the cartridges. Now I used compatibles in my old Epson and will continue to use them in my new one but I have this annoying problem that I hope someone has a cure for.

My old printer warned me that the cartridge I put in was not an Epson and gave me the usual warning but once I clicked continue that was that it never appeared again. The new printer however gives me the same message every time I switch on to print which is a bit annoying. I can live with it its nothing major but I was wondering if anyone knew of a simple cure for this.

The system must be able to detect each time you switch on the power.

You could leave the power on all the time ... this saves ink too as the heads aren't cleaned and checked each time you want to use it or, stop the TSR program from loading at start up.

Not keen on the leaving it on idea, stopping the TSR program is a good thought though. Thanks.
