Is it possible to have different colour folders? I would like to seperate various folders by colour in My Documents. I am running Windows 98SE.

I have blue ones in xp i think u need to alter the icon file for folders to get different colours so u may need a 3rd party app to do it.

Hi andyloran.

Although I haven't tried it myself, a program called 'Rainbow Folders' should be just what you're looking for. The publisher states
"Rainbow Folders is an easy to use program, which allows you to change color of the icon representing chosen folder to any color you like."

The program doesn't have an installer, so it will not leave any trash in the Registry.

Nice one Mike2002, thanks.

I have just downloaded and tried out Rainbow Folders on my Win98se system. Interace and instructions are simple and works beautifully!

You can even change the folders to look like the WinXP ones.
