cmos battery

i think my cmos battery is not workn . could this damage my laptop ? . and can someone please tell me were i can locate them in my laptop. its a hp compaq nx9005 . thank u .

I doubt whether it will be easy to replace the CMOS battery in a laptop...:-(

What link Bri74 if the one from the previous thread,its the manual Fruit Bat /\0/\ asked you to look at and will open in possibly Adobe,if you have a slow may take a minute.
Or if the above link,it works fine for me.

You have to take the Laptop in bits to put a new CMOS battery in. What makes you think is not working?????

dont know bought off ebay endhand , how could i find out if its a bug .
