clock ratio

my last motherboard a gigabyte 7va had no clock ratio switch (five tiny toggles ).my new one has (gigabyte 7n 400 )
I am a bit confused over the way to set this
for instance do I .double say 12 =to make it fit
a 2400pcu ..and 12.5 to make fit a 2500 =cpu ,and so on
I remember the old fic boards had switches on ,

my cpu is a athlon 2400, thanks

Find (via click here ) your mobo manual,it will describe in detail what switch does what.

This lists the most common AMD cpu's multiplier settings and their clock speed.

Yours should be 133FSB with a 15X multiplier giving you a 2 gig clock speed.
