Clock keeps changing

  MoiraB 10:10 11 Sep 2009

Once a week (Thursdays) when I boot up the clock is showing one hour earlier than it actually is. I change it and all is well for a week then it happens again. Any ideas?

Is your PC set to the correct time zone? Double-click the clock in the taskbar and look on the Time Zone tab to check or change this.

It is on the right time zone

What happens if you right click the time in the tray, select "set date and time" etc and internet time and click "synchronise now" or "update now"
Is Thursday the day that is shown as when it checks online to resynchronise.
Might also be worth deliberately setting it to an incorrect time zone etc so it stores all those settings and then putting it back to the one you want.

I think you're right there I did what you said and told it to synchronise time and it went back one hour. It said it had done it at 11.58 (correct time) but the clock then showed 10.58. Yes it is set to do it on a Thursday

the "Automatically adjust for time changes" ticked.

As we are currently in BST, if this isn't done then I would expect, at the re-synchronisation, the GMT time to be shown, which is what you're experiencing.

Apologies if this doesn't help!
