Not an oft used utillity these days but this weekend I had need of it. Talk about well hidden! Even microshaft help was useless at giving info on it. A google search enabled me to fin and use it to an extent. The problem I am finding that I can see the info in the clipboard but I can not highlight an copy to notepad. All I needed to transfer was a simple text file but all boxes were greyed out!

In win 98se it was easy but xp notso.

What I need to know is how to cut and paste from the clipfile in xp please.

Finaly found an answer from a programer at work. For those interested here is a way round the problem. open the clipboard viewer and press ctrl+v, note this does not highlight the text. Next open MS Word and press ctrl+c. This then copies the contents into the word document where it can be saved, altered or whatever. I simply then copied it from there to a notepad file for convenience.

Long winded but works, used to be so easy in win98 and millenium.

I remember I had to install it about 18 months ago - it's also got a much greater capacity.
