Clevo M57U AC/DC adapters keep breaking

Hello, I hope you can help.
Back before christmas last year I treated myself to a quality laptop that was second hand and obviously dodgey it came with an adapter that only did 3Amps when the clevo M57u which is what it was required 20V and 6A. I asked for one off the buyer and he would pay but when i bought the best one from maplin (universal one) he wouldnt cough up.
It worked for a while then started making squeeling noises but still worked, the jack become looser too for some reason. Anyway it still worked for a while but kept cutting out the power and eventually it just broke all the while squeeling more and more.
I then bought a click here SHIN LI 20V 6A adapter and worked fine no noises but then just stopped working and not even a light would come on it after a week.

Can you tell me where im going wrong here? Do i need to replace my battery in laptop? Could the battery be breaking it? There is nothing wrong with the power in house or any other houses i've tried them at.

Best regards
