Does anyone know how I can delete lists of unwanted search titles that are stored in web search bars.

No, it's not loads of porn titles I'm trying to get rid of either before you ask :)

Thanks.

Thanks, but the software looked a bit too intense for my liking. All i want to do is delete the saved lists in the web search bars, nothing else.

As for the second option that doesn't work.

rawprawn's link and the use of Ccleaner in default mode clears Google etc searches, but not, for some reason AVG (if you have it's toolbar)
I have found a long winded answer to this: I went to Cleaner- options- advanced -include. Then added: C:Documents and settings/(user name)/application data/AVG Toolbar/combosearch.acs - replace username with your own user account name - seems to work! I could not get AVG to clear searches in its toolbar any other way.Do try CCleaner - it is very easy to use.

Sorry should read CCleaner - options etc

Or : Tools, Internet options , delete browsing history - but it does not clear AVG!

I can assure you that CCleaner in default mode is perfectly safe.

Try tools.Internet options. Auto complete settings. Untick browsing history .or forms.I am using IE8 at the moment and can't quite remember what one you untick. If IE7 it is one of the 4.

Or try tools.Internet options.general.Settings.Put a dot on never.Days to keep stored pages 00.Apply Ok.

I think you were specifically refering to search, rather than browsing history. What toolbars do you have? In google, click the little down sign at the left of the g search panel in the toolbar, click view history, then delete all. For AVG see my 17.30 posting.

I'll give CCleaner another go when I have a bit more time. I'm currently using Internet Explorer 6.

One of the main sites I would like to clear the history in is ISOhunt.

I'll let you know later if CCleaner done the trick.

Thanks for now.
