Clearing "Results" from Google in Firefox ??

  Noels 08:01 16 Mar 2005

Over the last few days I have been searching using Google in Firefox some Foods. Porridge/Porridge Oats/Pork pies/Peanuts etc.

At the end of the day I always clear my search history, so I was very surprised when I came back a day later to find that when I entered "P" in the search box that all my search history for the letter P showed up in the drop down box below. This applies to searh history for all letters of the alphabet.

I have cleared Search History and the Cache but neither clears the history from the drop down box.

Any ideas on how to clear this history would be welcome. The same doesn't seem to apply when using Google with IE Regards Noels

Click in the box to reveal the list of recently typed entires. Put the cursor over the first entry in the list and hold the shift key whilst pressing the delete key.

Porridge has the exact same three initial letters of another word many people type into search engines....I wonder what it could be?
