Claiming back unallocated disk space

I've just added a second hard drive (which had been used for linux, now formatted to NTFS) to a pc. It's an 80gb drive, but there is an unallocated portion of around 3gb in disk management I'd like to get hold of. I really only want to add it to the existing partition, not have two on the disk. I guess there is software available to do this but I don't really want to go out and buy something if i can avoid it, as I hopefully won't ever use it again!

TIA
