CL2 and CL3 memory

  Hotfingers 00:38 22 May 2003

Does anyone know what the CL rating on memory is, there seem to be two kinds for PC133 and PC100. I have been told that to run PC133 memory on older PC100 boards the memory would need to be CL2.

Thanks in advance

Also have a look at the Crucial web site, that will explain the different types/speed of memory. click here J.

Thanks for your quick responses. The reason for my question is that I have bought a friend some memory, but I have found out it is CL3, he says that his system will only work with CL2. Does this make sense as his system is about 3-4 years old.
