cksks.exe - deplete

Hi, when I checkout task manager I have a process running called cksks.exe described as "deplete" can anyone tell me what it is - do I need it - and if not, how do I stop it. (Im not a techie so I need the idiots guide, sorry)

Are you sure the wording isn't chkdsk (CheckDisk) - this runs after a Reboot after opting for Error Checking.

I would run virus and malware checks just to be sure nothing is amiss.

Then go to My Computer>right click>>highlight your hard drive (usually C)>Properties>Tools tab>>click on Check Now button in Error Checking>>tick both boxes from panel which appears and click Start.

Now Reboot to allow CheckDisk (ChkDsk) to run.
